A few days ago I was walking to the subway and I ended up walking about a half block behind two young professional guys. I noticed that one of them kept looking back at me every few seconds and staring. It got to the point that I felt weird and thought I might have something on my face that he was looking at.

Anyway, I crossed the street so I wouldn’t have to catch up to them at the corner and walked the five or so blocks to the subway, forgetting about it for a few minutes. That is until I rounded the corner to go down the station steps and the guy who had been staring at me comes UP the steps from the darkness, walks past me, and makes two clicking sounds as he passed by me. No words, just clicks. He continued walking, and I, sufficiently weirded out, did exactly the same.

SFAR Featured on Susie B. Magazine

We are honored to have SFAR featured in Susie B. Magazine as Blog Crush! One of our favorite reads on the internet, Susie B. Magazine was founded by 8 female friends who sought to create a website for young women, by young women, about compelling topics of the day. The blog is named after feminist and suffragette Susan B. Anthony (which we love), and launched appropriately on February 15, her birthday.

We appreciate blogs and magazines that appeal to young women about topics and issues that matter (aka: not lipgloss and weight loss tips) and salute Susie B. Magazine for providing interesting columns and series.

Double-Borough Dating

We hate to give this guy more attention. Because he’s a hardcore serious douche. We do however want to make you aware that things like this HAPPEN.

According to an article in the New York Post last week, a 27 year old financial analyst was busted when his girlfriend spotted him out to dinner with…his girlfriend? Yes, he was maintaining two long term girlfriends in the same city. Until this point he had kept them separated by only seeing them in different areas of NYC. Apparently this became too challenging for him to keep straight, he accidentally brought Girlfriend #1 to Girlfriend #2’s neighborhood, and BAM– drink in the face.

Now, what is so shocking about this story is not that a young financial analyst was two-timing. Ha! We’ve seen it a million times. No, what was shocking is that he managed to maintain the two serious relationships for a long time- 6mos. and 1 yr, respectively. We’ve got to believe there was some real patience and heartache on the part of the girlfriends, for putting up with a smooth liar (“working late”, on “business trips”, etc.) for so many months, which is just so…sad.
