Pew Center finds 1/3 Millenials Awkward A**holes

The latest survey from the Pew Internet & American Life Project explores how reliant American cellphone users are becoming on their mobile devices. Their findings, make millenials look like cellphone obsessed androids. Whoops.

We’re going to be taking a closer look at this data, but for now, enjoy this little highlight. Ranking in at a percentage significantly higher than any other age group, 30% of 18-29 year olds reported “pretending to be using [their] phone to avoid interacting with people”.

Breaking Up: Summer Heights High Style

Summer Heights High is one of our favorite shows. Like no offense, but it’s true. Conceptualized by, written and starring brilliant comedian, Chris Lilley, Summer Heights High follows the lives of three characters during one year at their Australian public school.

One of those characters is Ja’mie King, an exchange student from a nearby private school who brings her outrageous personality and style to the halls of Summer Heights High. At one point, she dates a boy 5 years younger than her (absurd because he is 12), and in a dramatic fashion ends the relationship citing foul play. This clip captures the break up.

White, Male, 55 Year Old Casino Rapper

There is a man, A Samuels, from Newark, NJ, who decided he wanted to make a rap video about his phat life. He is white and owns casinos and made a song where he “raps” and sings “livin de life” approximately 3oo times throughout the course of his song. Given Samuels’ entire approach here, we’re going to guess he’s single.

This looks like a spoof, but it’s not, and you should probably view it right now.

Tina Fey’s New Baby Girl!

Tina Fey is one of the most badass women in her industry. In addition to starring on Saturday Night Live for 9 years, also created one of our FAVORITE shows, 30 Rock. Oh and, you know, picked up seven Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four Writers Guild of America Awards along the way.

Over the weekend she gave birth to her second baby girl (we can’t wait to see what her mini Tina’s become!) in Los Angeles, with her husband Jeffrey Richmond by her side. The name of the baby girl? Penelope Athena! Yes, Athena, as in the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, divine intelligence, and crafts.  We couldn’t be happier.

In honor of Tina, please enjoy a video of she and Maya Rudolph doing the Mother’s Day monologue on Saturday Night Live earlier this year. At the time Tina hosted this episode, she also had the number one book in the country, “Bossypants”.
